Lincoln Book Festival

Revived and Inspiring. Interested in the Victorian Gothic revival? Then come along to a talk I'm doing in Lincoln as part of the Book Festival at 2.30pm on 30th Saturday 2017. I join Victorian specialist Geoff Brandwood to consider how this style inspired architects as well as painters such as Mildred Holland. As part of the £10 ticket, there will be a tour of Sir Gilbert Scott's St Nicholas Church, Newport.

Other Festival events include the historian David Starkey discussing the significance of a decisive battle in English history, the Battle of Bosworth Field. The event runs between 26 - 30th September. The theme is 'Go Gothic' this year.
